There is a story in the Bible so powerful that it has always stayed in my heart until now, and I believe it will never fade. Story where doctors gave up. Where money ran dry. Where medicine said, “That’s it.” And yet, something unseen stepped in.
Ever been there?
You did everything they said. Swallowed the pills. Changed the diet. Read the labels. Scheduled every scan. But the pain? Still there. The sickness? Still growing. And hope? It packed its bags and left weeks ago.
That’s where she was. The woman with the issue of blood. Twelve years of trying… twelve years of bleeding… twelve years of disappointment. (Mark 5:25-34, KJV). The truth is, she was anyone today who’s desperate enough to reach for a miracle when everything else fails.
That story never left me.
Because it reminds me of one simple truth:
Only the God of Miracles can heal.
Doctors Treat, but God Alone Heals
I have nothing but respect for medicine. I thank God for every nurse, surgeon, and specialist. But let me tell you something that doesn’t get said enough—man cannot heal.
Yes, doctors assist. They help the body recover. But healing? Real, divine healing?
That comes from God’s power. Not human hands.
No physician alive can give life. No surgeon can command cells to obey. No scientist can speak to the storm in your body and say, “Peace, be still!” (Mark 4:39, KJV)
Only Jesus can do that.
That woman in the Bible had spent everything. She wasn’t poor just in money—she was poor in hope. Every earthly door slammed shut in her face. Every method, every expert, every prescription failed.
That’s when she turned to the God of Miracles.
And when she touched Jesus—everything changed.
The End of Self Is the Beginning of God
I’ve found myself wondering why we often wait until everything collapses before we turn to God. Maybe it’s pride. Maybe it’s fear. Maybe it’s because deep down, we still think we can fix it.
But here’s the bottom line…
You cannot receive the power of God while holding on to the power of self.
This hurts to admit. It hurt me.
Because we try. Oh, how we try!
We hustle. We plan. We cry. We ask everyone else for advice. But until we die to self, we never fully trust in God.
“I came to terms with this truth the hard way.”
You see, the God of Miracles often waits. He waits until you come to the end of yourself. That’s when He steps in. That’s when the impossible begins.
Jesus said something strange, something deep:
“Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone…” (John 12:24, KJV)
This isn’t just poetic—it’s powerful. He’s telling you that life only begins after surrender.
When You Can’t, He Can
Let’s be real: You can’t heal yourself. You can’t save yourself. You can’t bless yourself.
You can’t manufacture faith. You can’t create peace. You can’t generate miracles.
And guess what?
You were never supposed to!
This is something special—miracles are not manmade. They come from surrender. They come from brokenness. They come when you look up with empty hands and whisper, “I need You, Lord Jesus Christ.”
The woman with the issue of blood didn’t rehearse a speech. She didn’t light a candle. She didn’t recite a perfect prayer. All she did was crawl. With everything she had left—she reached.
And that reach? That reach moved the God of Miracles to stop in His tracks.
Jesus turned around.
Imagine that! God Himself—surrounded by crowds, walking with purpose—stopped for one desperate woman who touched Him in faith.
I was blown away by that!
Your Desperation is Not a Disqualification
I struggled with this with this in the past. I thought maybe my mess was too much. Maybe my doubt disqualified me. Maybe my past shut me out of miracles.
But I finally understood something…
Desperation is often the doorway to divine intervention.
You don’t have to have it all together.
You don’t need a resume of righteousness. All you need is a mustard seed of faith and a heart that says, “If I can just touch Him, I shall be whole.”
- The God of Miracles doesn’t require perfection.
- He responds to faith.
- He responds to surrender.
- He responds to you.
Stop Trying to Work It Out—Let God In
I reached a point where I had no plan B. I was done pretending to be strong. I stopped trying to fix myself.
And that’s when I got to experience real freedom.
Let me say it loud:
Stop trying to produce what only God can give.
You can’t produce healing. You can’t produce miracles. You can’t force peace into your life like a product on a shelf.
But you can receive it.
You can believe again.
You can trust in the One who never fails.
God doesn’t operate on formulas. He moves through faith. He’s not limited by the reports of men or the expiration dates on prescriptions.
Mark my words—His Word is final!
When the world says “no hope,” God says “I’m not done yet!”
When medicine says “there’s nothing more,” God says “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25, KJV).
And when people say “you’ll never recover,” the God of Miracles says “Watch Me!”
Let Faith Rise—Your Miracle Is Not Overdue
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.
If you’ve been hanging by a thread, this is the moment.
I wanted to share this with you because I truly believe that someone needs to hear this today—your miracle is not canceled. Your healing is not forgotten.
God is not late.
He’s right on time.
You don’t need more strategies. You need more surrender. You don’t need another opinion. You need a touch from Jesus.
Reach for Him—again. Cry out—again. Believe—again.
Because the same Jesus who healed her is the same Jesus who can heal you.
I can’t make this up. Miracles still happen. And they happen when we stop relying on man and fully trust the God of Miracles.
Do you believe He can touch you today?
