Deciding to Win

As Christians, we are blessed with the gift of will, which enables us to make decisions that shape our lives. By choosing to follow God, we exercise this will and make the decision to allow Jesus to become the Lord of our lives.

This is a personal decision that God does not force upon us, but one that we must choose to make for ourselves.

The Bible states in Deuteronomy 30:19, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

Choose Life: The Path to Abundant Blessings and Winning in Life

God has given us the power of choice and has laid out before us two paths, one of life and blessings and the other of death and cursing. The decision to walk in either direction is entirely ours.

We must choose life to live abundantly and be blessed, just as God wants for us. We can decide to win in every aspect of our lives by making the right choices.

It is up to us to decide to prosper, be in good health, and succeed. When Jesus asked the sick man in John 5:6, “Wilt thou be made whole?”,

He was emphasizing that the decision to be made whole begins with us. This decision to be whole applies not only to our physical health but also to our spiritual and emotional well-being.

Jesus is still asking us the same questions today. “Wilt thou live above the beggarly elements of this world? Wilt thou be redeemed? Wilt thou be in health? Wilt thou prosper? Wilt thou be fruitful? Wilt thou be blessed?” He has already made everything available to us, and it is up to us to decide whether we will take it or not.

Taking Responsibility for Wholeness: Empowering Yourself as a Christian

Wholeness is a result of our decisions. It is important to realize that we have a role to play in our healing and success. As Christians, we have sometimes been guilty of placing the responsibility of our healing solely on God.

We have prayed for healing, saying, “Heal us if it be Thy will.” However, we must understand that God has already made all the love gifts available to us. We need to come boldly to His throne and obtain all that He has for us.

God wants us to be whole in every area of our lives- spirit, soul, and body. He asks us, “Wilt thou live in health? Wilt thou prosper? Wilt thou be above and not beneath? Wilt thou be the head and not the tail?

Wilt thou be blessed? Wilt thou have life? Wilt thou have all of thy household saved? Wilt thou have them all filled with the Holy Ghost? Wilt thou be what I have said in My Word that you can be? Wilt thou have great success?”

We need to make a conscious decision to walk in God’s will and allow Him to bless us in all areas of our lives.

We need to decide to win and live abundantly, just as God wants for us.

How to Make the Right Decision

Making the right decisions can be challenging, especially when faced with difficult circumstances. However, as Christians, we have a guide that can help us make the right choices. Here are some ways we can make the right decisions:

1: Seek God’s guidance through prayer

Prayer is a powerful tool that can help us connect with God and seek His guidance. When we face difficult decisions, we can turn to God in prayer and ask for His wisdom and guidance.

The Bible says in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

By seeking God’s guidance through prayer, we can have confidence in the decisions we make.

2: Consult the Bible

The Bible is a source of wisdom and guidance for Christians. It contains God’s words and instructions for living a fulfilling life. When we face difficult decisions, we can turn to the Bible for guidance.

The Bible says in Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

By consulting the Bible, we can gain a better understanding of God’s will for our lives and make decisions that align with His plan.

3: Seek advice from other Christians

Proverbs 15:22 says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed.” Seeking advice from other Christians can help us gain different perspectives and insights that we may not have considered before.

We can seek advice from pastors, Christian friends, or mentors who have more experience or knowledge in the area we are struggling with. By seeking advice from other Christians, we can make informed decisions that align with God’s plan for our lives.

4: Consider the consequences

Every decision we make has consequences, whether good or bad. Before making a decision, it’s important to consider the potential outcomes and consequences.

We can ask ourselves questions like the following:

By considering the consequences of our decisions, we can make choices that align with God’s plan and lead to positive outcomes.

5: Trust in God’s plan

Ultimately, we must trust in God’s plan for our lives. Even when we face difficult decisions or challenging circumstances, we can trust that God is in control and has a plan for our lives.

The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

By trusting in God’s plan, we can have peace and confidence in the decisions we make, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

Conclusion

In conclusion, as Christians, we have the power to make the right decisions by seeking God’s guidance through prayer, consulting the Bible, seeking advice from other Christians, considering the consequences, and trusting in God’s plan.

Let us make the decision today to trust in God and make choices that honor Him and align with His plan for our lives.
